The Trans Pacific Union looks after the area's of Fiji, Western Samoa, American Samoa, Tonga, Kiribati, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, Nuie and Tuvalu and has around 84,000 baptised Seventh-day Adventist members. Approximately half this number are women and it is these ladies we are offering our special Women's Ministry to. We operate special camp meetings for women in these mission territories, we run seminars, we produce resources, we run special Union Conventions for women, and we are interested in helping in all the special needs that our women have.

We are anxious to hear from you if you are a woman in this great Union territory and we invite you to contact the Women's Ministries director in your mission territory first, (see the list below), should you need that help. But do contact me if you have any special needs. My email address is mtokalau@adventist.org.fj and I can be reached by phone on 679-3321711, fax on 679-3321524 or by writing to me, Marica Tokalau c/- PO Box 270, Suva Fiji.

Women's Ministries should not be confused with the DORCAS department of the church. That department specializes in welfare ministries to the poor and needy whereas Women's Ministries specifically applies itself to the spiritual needs of women within the church actively pursuing the gender specific needs of our women. We are active in developing ministries that can help our women come closer to our Lord in their spiritual walk, we help with work in AIDS education and have programs that are informative for women in the special situations that only women face, problems with social situations, family needs, pregnancy related issues, motherhood matters and so on.

We have special knowledge and resources in these areas and you in your village in your mission territory may want to approach us about what we might be able to do for you and the women in your area.

We have access to specialist in our department at the General Conference in the United States and in our department at the Division in Australia.

We hope to see you when we come by your territory.
